Life-long residents of the Dodge Center area, Roger and Melanie Langworthy were called into the pastoral ministry in 1986. Prior to that they farmed for 7 years in the Claremont area. In the midst of farming the Lord called Roger into the ministry and he began to prepare through Christian International University accredited correspondence school. At the same time he worked in an associate pastor role together with a pastor in Owatonna, MN. In 1986 they started Praise Fellowship Church with a core group of people that had a vision for a Spirit-filled Word-of-Faith church in the Dodge Center area. Roger is ordained through the Association of Faith Churches and Ministries (AFCM).
